Subiaco Oval Demolition
When I get the chance, I always like to take the opportunity to inspect our machinery and get on site of some amazing projects. This week, we were given an opportunity too good to pass up and paid a visit to the demolition being undertaken at Subiaco Oval.
Like thousands of other West Australians, ‘Subi’ holds a special place in my heart and I’ve seen some incredible moments there over the years. I couldn’t help but feel a bit sad when I saw what had happened to the place, but we understand why the decision was made and we love the new Optus Stadium.
That said, it was awesome to be able to see some of our hire gear in action and the size of this job is immense, with over 100,000 tonnes of material being removed.
